"Why wouldn't it be?" she asked, really just trying to prove a point. She knew what it was like to feel like nothing was worth the pain that life caused, but she had gotten through it, and she knew that Nathaniel could to. Even if he needed a little push.

Azalea sighed, not sure what she could say to make Nathaniel feel any better. "It's not fair," she said. "People shouldn't have to die like that. But your life is still going on. And I think your friend would want you to live it to the fullest." Azalea wasn't sure if her words would actually mean anything, but she had to try anyways.

"Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry," Azalea said. Dealing with death had never been Azaleas strong point, and helping others do it wasn't much easier. All she knew how to do was be there to act as a shoulder to cry on.

Azalea sighed. "I think you're lying," she said bluntly. Azalea wasn't one to let people lie about being okay when they really weren't, and Nathaniel obviously wasn't okay. "I know you probably don't want to talk about it but I happen to be a very good listener if you do." Cheering people up was what brought Azalea happiness in life. She didn't care about her own feelings as long as she could make someone else happy.

Azalea had decided not to watch the Games only because she couldn't deal with watching so many deaths. She never had been very fond of watching the Games, and they had always caused her to have serious panic attacks. Besides, she had her son to worry about, and she didn't want to expose Flynn to that sort of violence. Everson and Flynn had both fallen asleep, and while Azalea hadn't slept much in a few days, she didn't feel like napping. So she went for a walk. That was, of course, until she saw Nathaniel sitting by himself looking upset. She didn't know the boy extremely well, but he was close with her sister. "Hey," she said, taking the spot next to him on the bench. "Are you okay?"

"Of course," she said. "How could he not?" Though Azalea was still a little nervous that Everson's father might reject her and the child completely. After all, they probably weren't what he'd imagined his son's family would be like. They weren't married, and Azalea was starting to believe that maybe they never would be. But she really didn't mind either way because their love for each other was stronger than anything marriage could possibly bring them. Her eyes darted to Everson suddenly, a slight smile creeping up on her lips. Excitement started to mask her anxiety, and she felt a bit more confident now. It would all be okay, no matter what happened.

A soft smile graced Azalea's lips as she squeezed Everson's hand back, then nodded. "Ready as I'm going to be," she said with a nervous laugh. But it would be okay, she was sure. Even if it didn't go well, Azalea knew that it wouldn't change her relationship with Everson. She was also extremely curious as to what Everson's father would be like. He had talked about him on occasion, but Azalea felt like the man was a bit of a mystery to her.
"Are you excited, Flynn?" she asked, making conversation with the toddler as a way to distract herself from her own anxiety. But she was excited too. Obviously her emotions just couldn't decide what they wanted to do to her, but that was usually how it went with Azalea.

Azalea had to deal with some things at home before leaving to meet Everson in Eleven. Ever since Rebecca had died, Starla had been more of wreck than she normally was, and Charity wasn't exactly fond of the idea of staying with her while she was away. But after a good hour or so of bribery and guilt-tripping, she finally convinced her to stay. And now the only thing she had to deal with was the anxiousness she had about meeting Everson's father for the first time. It was safe to say that she was a complete mess on the train, doing everything she could not to completely break down (not to mention the looks she got from the random strangers also on the train). Her anxiety hadn't been this bad for a long time, but she knew that she would be okay once she was with Everson. At least she hoped so.
After getting off of the train in Eleven, she wandered a bit before finally meeting Everson and Flynn. The little tyke ran up to her, and she kneeled down to pick him up. "How's my little guy?" she asked with a smile, then she looked at Everson. "You look...nervous," she said. She wasn't sure what reason he had to be nervous, as it was his own father. Their relationship may not have been great, but it wasn't horrible either. Maybe it was something else on his mind, she wasn't sure.
