Grace studied the egg for a moment before shaking her head, "no and I don't want to mess this up, so you can do it." Grace said with a small smile, since these were Hunter's favorite she didn't want to risk the recipe.

Balancing the flour in her hand, Grace nodded, tugging the scales towards her before pouring the correct amount into the bowl. She was nothing if not precise, if there were steps to follow, she'd follow them, everything was safer that way. "What next?" Grace asked as she set the flour back down on the counter, fingers dusted lightly with the white powder.

"Yeah, but no other dads are you, sooo." Grace replied with a giggle as she was spun. Hunter was right about the chocolate cookie thing, they made them too much, she was surprised that Lily or Alex hadn't whined about the fact, food was food though. "We haven't had pumpkin in a while." Grace said after a moment, hopping up onto the side of one of the kitchen counters whilst she watched Hunter. "Last time we made a lot of mess... or at least I made a lot of mess."

Grace groaned at Hunter's question but carried on holding his hand anyways whilst she answered him with a simple, "it gives us the fruit and vegetables that we need to survive with and maintain that all important diet... which usually doesn't include cookies." Hunter was right, the schoolwork wasn't too hard, just long and tedious, Grace had nearly fallen asleep the other day, not that she would ever mention that to Hunter. Looking up at Hunter Grace smiled, giving his hand a squeeze whilst he used his spare hand to unlock the door.

Leaning back into her seat, Grace glanced out of the window, watching the darkened landscape for a moment before turning back to Hunter. "Something boring." Grace grumbled, rolling her eyes before sobering up and saying, "we are learning about how the different districts helps fuel Panem and keep it alive. I am very pro district 6 and for you and Alex, district 2." Grace told him with a grin, her vocabulary had improved recently a fact she liked to use more often than not.

"Alex cannot cook, he should be banned from it." Grace teased, Hunter was by fair the best cook in their household and slowly, from him, she was learning. "Sounds like a good plan though, lets go, dad." Picking up her paper, Grace felt momentarily bad about pushing the work that had been there away but after a moment, she shrugged the thought away. Knocking her shoulder against Hunter's arm, Grace waited for him to guide the way, even though she knew it.

Whilst Lily had managed o either a) not get any homework because she was little or b) magically do it in five minutes, Grace was in the office, have pushed away piles of paper to do her own homework. She hated it, it was so incredibly boring and Grace had become sidetracked drawing a flock of birds up the inside edge of her paper. Doddles tended to litter the vast majority of any form of work Grace was given at school, it was becoming somewhat of a bad habit.
Head snapping up at the sound of Hunter, Grace smiled back before shaking her head, frowning and then nodding. "I need help with actually wanting to do my homework." Grace told him, setting down her pen on the desk.

"Nope, nothing, just spend time with you and Alex." Grace replied with a chuckle, taking a big bite of ice cream and managing to give herself some level of brain freeze in the meantime. Face scrunching up, as she shook the feeling away, once Grace had recovered he looked around the cafe eyeing other customers with a small smile.

"I'll behave!" Grace replied to Hunter's comment about duct tape, a smile spreading across her lips with ease. Taking a sip of her orange juice, Grace watched Hunter and Alex with a happy glint back in her eyes. "Hunter has to be nice to him otherwise Eve'll go beat him up." Grace joked, tossing Hunter a quick grin. The idea of cake made Grace even happier and bought back memories of when she'd first met Alex with Eve, that seemed like forever ago; so much had happened since then. "Yes... well, almost, I've almost finished my homework." Grace replied, spooning some ice cream into her mouth.

"Orange juice!" Grace responded quickly, not even having to think about her answer, she was obsessed with orange juice, some would say too obsessed. "Oh... and maybe an ice cream?" Grace asked, tilting her head up and to the side to look at Hunter and then to throw Alex a cheeky grin. She had missed them all being together no matter how much she liked seeing Logan.

Looking up at the sound of a voice, Grace grinned up at Alex, she missed seeming him as often as she used to. "Alex!" Grace replied with a beam, pushing up the sleeves of her red dress; perhaps wearing a long sleeved dress had been a mistake today. "Come with us, Alex, please!" Grace added, attempting the most angelic face she could but not being able to conceal and restrain a smile followed by a laugh.

Grace giggled as Hunter spun her, hair floating out around her head. Feet slightly wobbly once she landed back on the ground, Grace grinned up to her dad. Picking up a pair of shoes, Grace followed Hunter down, already dressed.

Grace was doing some homework, it was easy but still, it was homework. Even if the homework was colouring she would do it with a frown. Looking up when Hunter came in, Grace grinned both at the interruption and also for Hunter's own sake. "I would but don't be too boring... I don't want to fall asleep in the middle of the dy." Grace replied with a tease at the end, as she got older she was becoming progressively cheekier. "Doughnuts do sound good though!"
(Sorry that was rubbish)

Grace was heading home from school, a tote back slung around her shoulder. It was heavy, a few books inside, some water and any stationary she needed. Grace rarely waked home by herself but today she had felt like doing so; besides, she couldn't find Chez. Sun filtered down through budded trees, green leaves stretching away from brown bark, tilting their heads up to the sky. Grace did the same, feet moving slower as she she lost focus. Coming virtually to a complete stop, Grace was lent against a tree, not too far from home but sidetracked by the few clouds in the sky. Cloud watching, Grace did it often, some would say too often, but hey, it kept her off the streets.
Convincing herself to start walking, Grace saw someone ahead, a figure she'd never not recognize. Alex. "Alex," Grace called, trying to draw his attention without having to shout too loudly. She couldn't tell which way he was exactly going but she hoped that now he'd go to her.
