Jace followed after with an awkward laugh slipping from his lips, shaking his head. He'd never met someone who could take him from feeling so comfortable to so awkward in a matter of mere seconds. He wasn't this awkward normally, he could've sworn it.
He shook his head, cheeks blushing a bright red at her comments about being cute and embarrassed. It was true. He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, eyes downcast before he grinned at her, lopsided and crooked, his dad's smile. "Well, at least being cute and a ball of embarrassment finally got me somewhere in life."
He leaned back against the door with her, watching her sideways from the corner of his eyes. She really was gorgeous, hands knotted into her hair as she tried to catch her breath from a rush of excitement. He watched as her hand brushed his side before she disappeared up the stairs. He watched her go every step. She was like life bundled into one girl. Everything about her was alive and warm, like some fire burning within her. And like an embarrassed little moth, he was drawn to her flame.
He shook his head, there was no way he'd follow her up to her room. Just the thought of doing that was too much. He'd been raised to give everyone the utmost respect, including, no especially, to girls.
So he just waited for her exactly where he was, leaned up against the wooden door, arms crossed.

Castiel kept his eyes centered on the screen, only bothering to look away for a moment, glancing at her. He could tell how nervous but excited she was. He hoped this would work, that the Capital would have eyes on Alexis. It was the only way Cas could get Izzy to her. He watched the screen as the map of Panem slowly narrowed until it was hovering over a very familiar sight.
The Capitol.
"Well, IzzyBear, that's where your mom is. Right smack in the middle of the Capitol.."

Castiel thought about it for a moment, a long moment. He could tell she was panicking and for a moment, brief as ever, he wondered if they could do this. If Alina could be okay with it. What if they uncovered something nasty about their family? He certainly knew that no one in his family was an angel, except Alina. He knew things about the family that even she didn't know. He also considered that he could be taken or that it could be a trap.
Then he reached out and took both of her delicate hands in his rough ones. He looked down at her earnestly.
"Lina, we don't have to do anything that you aren't willing to do. I want answers, but I can get them without you. You don't need to come with me if you don't want to, understand? Now, I've thought about it being a trap. If it is, oh well. We can take anything they throw at us. We're ready. We've been trained our whole lives for this." At least he had. "In the highly unlikely situation that I am taken, you get the fuck out of there and you go straight to Uncle Trigger, get mom and dad, and let the three of them take care of it. Promise me that right now. Or when we get to Six, I'll drug you, throw you in a hotel room and do this on my own anyway." He held out his pinkie finger to her. "And about the family.. Well.. Lina.. We're a special family. A dark family. No one is perfect and I don't care what we find on this journey. Family will always be family."

Jewel found she couldn't take her eyes off of him. She watched with avid fascination while he walked around the kitchen, doing simply normal things that somehow caught her attention and kept it. She was a selfish woman, wishing for his attention to return to her. She couldn't have been more thrilled when it did return to her.
She smiled and breathed in his scent, soft lips brushing slowly against his as she pressed close to him once more. She let her emerald eyes close with a soft and blissful sigh, the first memory she had of the kitchen playing through her mind. They were young and their love was new. She was still a spitfire personality, a careless tornado that sucked in everyone around her. He was too kind, too gentle, too perfect for her. The calm she needed for her storm. They'd gotten in a fight. She'd done something stupid, got herself hurt. An apology led to a kiss, a kiss led to a fire, blazing right here in this kitchen before he'd swept her off her feet and into bed. The memory warmed her, toes curling at just the thought as she pressed herself into him and kissed him once more.

Castiel was the opposite of his sister in almost every way. She would never kill someone, it'd break her heart and shatter innocence. Cas, on the hand, would happily slit a million throats to keep Lina from having to take even one life. He smiled back down at her, gray eyes glimmering with love. He'd do anything for his family, for his sister. He walked outside with her, black duffel bag slung over one shoulder, his free hand grabbing her hand. They walked to the train station hand in hand. Cas bought the tickets and arranged everything before guiding his sister onto the train.
He watched her heavy face, feeling a frown tug down, a serious look on his features. "What do you mean?" He asked. He was so focused on protecting his family, he hadn't even thought about the things they might uncover.

Jewel clung desperately to her husband, feeling her heart pounding almost painfully in her chest. She remembered these feelings so vividly, the way he stole her breath away, the way he made her heart skip a beat, the way he incited passion and lust in her.
When he pulled away, it was far too soon from her. He hesitantly released her and she reluctantly unwrapped herself from him. Her eyes stayed on his face and she gave him a smile while she caught her breath, not bothering to move from her perch on the kitchen counter. "Well, whatever you want. But I did promise Lina chicken nuggets.."

Castiel nodded his own head, watching her turn and disappear before he made his way to the very back of their hallway, typing in his code into the key pad there and then throwing open the metal reinforced door. It revealed their weapon's closet. He grabbed a special black duffel bag made of canvas cloth and then began stocking up on weapons. His mom's sword. It would be a good weight for Lina to use. He pulled it out of the sheath to check it out. Nodding, satisfied, he pushed in back into the sheath and placed it into the bag. He already had his 9mm GLOCK tucked into his belt, along with his knife strapped into his boots. He grabbed a few more sheathed knives and tossed them in. Lina was pretty skilled at ranged weapons, knives, gun, bow and arrow. He found her old unstrung compound bow and tossed it in with a quiver and metallic arrows to go with. A sniper rifle with a night vision scope was next. And then a few more pistols and rifles of varying caliber before loading the bag to the brim with ammo.
He zipped up the bag, slung the heavy weight over his shoulder, closed the door and met Lina in the living room. "We'll head to Six first and then Five." He said, reaching down below their coffee table, feeling around for the emergency wad of money tapped there. He grabbed the huge wad of hundred bills and shoved them into his pocket. He let down the weapons bag and shrugged on his signature leather jacket before slinging the bag back over his shoulder. "Ready?"

Jewel saw the smile on his lips as he turned on his heels, smiling back at him herself. He lifted her up in a smooth motion and lifted her onto the counter. She wrapped her legs around him, the movement like the most natural thing in the world. She felt his arms around her, pulling her close and she wrapped her arms loosely around his neck, clutching herself to him as she kissed him back with all the love and passion she felt towards him.
When he pulled away for a brief moment, she looked up at him with a breathless smile, "I love you too." She got out just in time, feeling his lips press back down against hers with a hunger and a need that she felt to her core.

Cas hid his smile from his sister. She was the farthest thing from scary. She couldn't intimidate a mouse. But he intended to be there, standing right behind her. This was her mission, but he was her enforcer and protector. People would fear her because they fear him.
"Right," He said, not thrilled about taking Lina anywhere that could be considered dangerous. But still, he would follow this through with her. "Let's pack. I'll get the weapons, you pack the clothes. Deal?"

Jewel let go of his hand, watching as he stood and walked to the door. She nodded at his words, a slight frown tugging down on her lips as he disappeared into the other room. She stood shortly after and walked after him, joining him in the kitchen. She didn't say anything at first, just leaning against the entry way and watching him. Her eyes ran over the kitchen, a slight smile on her lips. There were memories in every corner of this house, not all of them good, but an overwhelming amount of them blissful. From that table to that counter, she had a memory for every space, all including the man standing in the middle of the kitchen.
"You're wrong..." She breathed after a moment, emerald eyes fixed on him as she shook her head. "I don't want space or time to myself. I want to be here with you and Lina and Cas. Even just in the other room is too far away..."

Castiel listened intently to everything his sister said. He had to commit it all to memory. It would come in handy later when he tracked down who ever this Riley was and milked him for information to find out who had taken sister so he could then find them and kill those bitches.
He watched her get up and come back with her notepad, watching her rough sketch. She was an amazing little artist, skilled in more gentle and beautiful ways than he could ever hope to be. He was all brute force and violence where she was all grace and creative beauty. He gazed down at the sketch before shaking his head slowly, a frown on his lips. "No, I don't recognize him. But we have a district, a name, and a description with a picture. We can get to him off this, Lina. You did good, kid."

Jewel looked down at his large hand engulfing her delicate one, smiling slightly at the sight before she looked up at him, a crease forming in her brow once more. She tried to think of the name of the hospital but she couldn't. With a sigh, she shook her head, glancing up at him with a slight frown tugging down her full lips.
"Sorry, James. I don't remember the name. I didn't talk to anyone either. I just woke up and I had a feeling I shouldn't talk to anyone. I should just leave. So.. I did..." She gazed up at him, feeling like she'd done something wrong when she hadn't really. She'd just followed instincts and they'd taken her right to James. Which wasn't wrong, obviously. "But it was close. Like two blocks away maybe..."

Castiel smiled gently down at his older, much smaller, sister. His arms tightened protectively around her and he gently brushed away her tears before wrapping her up in his arms again. He kissed her forehead lightly. "They won't get me, Lina, you know that. They couldn't if they tried. Not when I've got you to protect and rage on my side." He said with a playful little grin, nudging her slender shoulder.
He became serious once more as she continued to talk, listening intently to her. He was determined to help her. He could see from the hard glint in her eyes that this was one of the few times Alina had ever been mad. She looked identical to Jewel, their mother, in that moment. He'd help her do whatever she needed to in order to put herself at peace once more. "Okay, Riley, got it. He's new to wherever you were. He's a doctor. What did he look like? Every detail. Did he talk funny? Have a slight accent? Used a word you didn't recognize? It could help pinpoint his district."

Jewel slipped out of the bathroom and back into the room that her and her husband shared. With every passing second, everything became more and more familiar. She recognized more things in the house, more people in the pictures. As she stepped into the bedroom, she paused for a moment, smiling as her eyes landed on the one thing that she remembered totally.
James.
She stood in front of him, long blonde hair falling wet to her hips, baggy sweats hiding the bruises and scars on her built body. Emerald eyes shinning, she made her way to him, siting next to him on the bed. She didn't say anything, waiting for him to speak as she gazed up at him.

Jace watched the amusing expressions on the beautiful face of Sage, his head tilting, brow arching up as he watched her. He wondered what she was concentrating so hard on. It didn't look like he'd get an answer from her though. He had a feeling that she had a rather one track, fast, mind. He wondered if he'd be able to keep up with the way her attention seemed to flit around.
He was a bright young man, focused on his career and future. He detested wars and fighting, much like his parents. Also like his mother, he'd been studying his whole life to follow after his mother and be a doctor. They didn't know it yet, neither of them, but they'd be an interesting combination.
When she hooked her arm through his and drug him with her, he was surprised at her strength. It felt almost unnatural. He was sculpted and tall with bulging muscles. He'd grown up surrounded by tall timbers and he'd been throwing around an axe and hauling timbers around since before he could remember. It'd shaped him into a well built, strong man. Even at just 17, his strength was undeniable. A slow grin broke out on his lips as he walked with her, arm in arm, gentle features lighting up.
"Alright, Sage. Onward to find clothes for you!"
