"He and I were really close," Rena said quietly. "We were the only children in our district that were special, since we were the mayors kids. We didn't like going out much because the other kids were mean," Rena said laughing awkwardly. She remembered the states they used to get. "But flax and I didn't mind and he'd always stand up for me. Even if it got him punched in the nose a few times," Rena said laughing a bit.

Crimson laughed slightly. "He was a good man. I wish I could have gotten to know him better." Crimson hated admitting it, but she really did barely know Flax. She loved him. She knew that. But Crimson fell in love much easier than most, and when she really thought about it, she hardly knew the man that was the father to her son.

"He was very weak when we were younger. There wasn't really a point in being strong. We were the mayor's kids us getting into the game was so unlikely..." Rena couldn't help but laugh at the irony. "But when my mom was killed he manned up and that's when he decided to join the military and picked the crappiest weapon ever." Rena said with a laugh. Flax ' s weapon of choice was a gun and it always gave away where he was.

"Hey, at least he was a good shot," Crimson said, laughing. Crimson was best with a gun too, but she was good with almost any weapon you put in her hands. Crimson was the kind of person that felt like she always had to be the best at everything or she wasn't good enough. From what she could tell, Flax was the same way.
