Not many people seemed to know the simplicity of living in a large town. It was easy to route things, and even easier to slide into conversations due to the diversity of the townspeople. Jasmin was one of those people who knew the town better than the lines on the back of her hand.
She also had a flare for the culinary. Any new diners in town had her eye, and she wasn't afraid to go in alone. She swung down the sidewalk, her oversized, tan cableknit sweater barely swathing her against the wind.
She pushed into a swingy new diner, her mahogany colored hair tied back in a careless looking braid. Her tight black midi skirt with a layer of thermal material underneath kept her from shaking too much as she pressed her shoulder into the door of the diner, the bell overhead chiming merrily.
Lowering her clunky, expensive purse from her shoulder, she slid into a booth, her red-tipped, running nose aching and her eyes strikingly dark pin-pricks of hazel against the cold-induced paleness of her face.
She kicked her feet into the booth across from her, the cherry vinyl squeaking from the day-old rain clinging to the bottom of her low black flats.
Raising her eyes, she caught a waiter's attention with a wide smile, arms clutched to herself as she shivered. She dressed pretty chic for an eighteen-year old; possibly work-wear.
But no, that wasn't the case. She was living the broke life of any college student, draining her parents of their spirits and their cash. Even though she was only residing in a community college, her major /whatever,/ - it hadn't been her choice to go to college.
She wanted to write. It was nearly all she did, besides clubbing.
She was sometimes reckless, and always willing to take a risk. It was all apart of her mental illness, but you couldn't tell from first glance. Her smile was vivid and she appeared well put together.
That is, until she opened her mouth..

It was her.
The one who painted his mind, masked his walls, danced in his dreams.
The girl he knew more than himself- yet they haven't said a word.
It was the opening week of the new Italian restaurant he had been hired at. The man always had a new job, because of her. Every other month or so he'd be spotted in the back of the kitchen. Maybe as a waiter at the tables around her- but never, ever did he dare speak. A voiceless face in the crowd she'd see everyday, and she did see him every single day. A glance back and he was there, but never when she looked again. While she was undressing in front of the open windows of her apartment, she'd catch a glimpse of an observing figure, but it was too dark to make much out of it. At a club, there'd be that one touchy dancer who would run off before being caught- guess who.
Today though, wasn't any different. Felix was still the nameless face she'd see but never recognize. She never caught on.
His flaky sapphire irises observed her from behind the thick rims of his over sized glasses, his gloves hands masked with the gore of ground beef he'd been smashing into a meatball. Behind the counter was his home, his glare not shying away a bit as he watched a female waitress prance towards her.
Felix already knew what she wanted, be knew everything there was to know about her, but he played dumb- waiting for that slip with her order. For now, though, he returned his attention to the meat, toying with it with an eerie smirk.
Stalking wasn't a game, but it sure was fun.

"Get me somethin' you think looks horrible but tastes amazing, please and thanks." Jasmin said as the waiter approached with a beyond-cheeky grin, not even bothering a glance at the water, "And a water." It was funny how she put it - "a water."
The waiter looked stunned, but nodded, cheeks flushed as she politely attempted to jot her order down. She pushed the swinging half-door to get behind the counters and offered the slip to Felix. "...She wants something that 'looks disgusting but tastes amazing. Good luck." The mouse of a girl muttered, pinning the ticket up and steering off to another table.
Jasmin messed around her phone, a bulky Android. Her fingers danced across the screen, eyes not lifting to meet the staring man's.

It was a good thing, too, that she was too busy on her phone to catch his wandering glare. She'd have to stare into the teenie tiny window to even make out his face, of course, but there was always that chance she would catch him.
She hadn't yet it was nearly a year since he plucked her out of thr crowd and set his sights on her heart.
Clasping the paper with her order on it, he cling it to his chest, soaking in every particle of her tht he could. Her demand was simple, with him knowing the basics of what she wanted and all. He served her a mix of Alfredo and ground beef in a sloppy mess in the porcelain bowl- the name of which he'd forgotten but it was quite delicious nonetheless.
Simple and quick.
Ringing the bell lazily, he was eager for the waitress to bring the food out, desperate for a pleased reaction.

Jasmin lifted her head, squinting at the vintage paintings that peppered the wall. Her eyesight was beyond poor, so she saved herself the lecture from the waitress of, "now, you should get yourself a pair of glasses!"
She tore her gaze away as a plate was set unceremoniously in front of her, floral rim worn with wear. She stirred it with her fork, poking around the noodles to pluck out and scents or bits of food identifiable to the eyes.
Satisfied with the smell, she shoveled a still-steaming forkful into her mouth and chewed, the waitress waiting for a clue as to what she thought of her vague order. "This is totally great," She sounded beyond pleased, taste buds sensitive to all the aromatic flavors and subtle smoky, beefy notes.
"Thanks, sweetheart." She said to the waitress, "An' compliment the chef." 'My parent's money is going to good use for once.' Her mind finished.

There was little to no doubt that'd she'd absolutely adore the meal he made, she hadn't turned her nose up to his other cuisines- why would she fuss up now? Felix's ears heated as the waitress delivered the quite apparent news, his lips curled into the tightest of smirks as he gazed her way, keeping a keen eye on the oblivious girl. One day, one day he would make a move- drop out from behind the lens and take hold of the situation. Not now though, it was too soon. He wasn't ready to take on anything physical.
He preferred afar, yet was so desperate for touch.
To be with her.
It would wait though, for now, he just watched, eager to observe her slurp up his delicacy.

Later that night, Jasmin was consumed by the club scene. Little did most young people know when they traveled through the washed up town was how hard the club scene was; how glowing, how florescent, and how dangerous...
Stuck in the same outfit as before, besides a pair of low black heels taking place of her flats and heavy rose-gold jewelry, she looking painstakingly the same. Although, up close her make-up was thicker and bolder, mouth tacky with nude lip gloss.
She backed into a male, tossing her hips with him to a heavy, bass-influenced beat, holding a conversation with a smoky-eyed auburn-headed woman, the two constantly smiling.
"This really ain't fair. You're barely dancing. I'm doing all the work-" She tossed over her shoulder, and in response, his arms gripped her hips. For such a skinny, no-hipped girl, she danced carefree.
'This guy is really fucking annoying.' She thought, eyeing her friend as if saying "get this guy away, he's bugging me!"
'This is too loud. This is too much. Shit, I think I'm gonna have a panic attack.' Good thing her mind caught on before it happened. Pulling herself away, she jogged for the back exit, clumsy in her heels but still adamant about getting out, butting into people and cursing.
Little did she know the man was following her out..
(Can you play thr guy?)

Work was a drag after his precious prey left. He fought to make it through the day, faking to be sick so his boss would let him go.
And go he did.
It wasn't long until he caught onto Jasmin's trail, following her through town, hiding when she'd turn back. It was nonchalant stalking.
Felix followed her home, watched her waltz around doing meaningless things- adjusting her makeup and what not. She was perfect without it, wasn't she?
She was.
Hours passed, and all he did was linger outside, waiting. Finally, she left, whisking herself away to a club- to which he followed.
Blending into the crowd, he kept tabs on her, a heavy scowl on his lips as she tossed herself onto a man who was way too touchy. Then, like that, she was gone. He fought to find her, but he couldn't.
Now that was just unexpectable.
Meanwhile, whilst he searched, the man she'd been dancing with followed her outside, his hand snaking around her waist as he drunkenly mumbled, "Where you goin' pretty lady?"

"Far the fuck away from your half-stupid, gropey ass." Maybe it was a bit over-the-top, her insults, but she had a dramatic flare to her spite. Jasmin jumped at his touch, skin infested with the squirmies.
She knocked into him too roughly with her elbow, adjusting her purse in a tizzy. She knew what even a drunken fool could be capable of. "Get off of me!" She spit at him, mouth curling like a snake's.
