I Won't Give Up
Myia gasped softly as her stomach cramped, her hand rubbing gently at the surface. Myla was a fighter, kicking and punching all day long, causing Myia pain and cramps. Jace had been so gentle, both in and out of womb. Myla would be a hand full, she felt. She glanced over, Jace gently swinging as he took his daily nap. The boy was one but ever as gentle and loving as he'd always been. She was so grateful for that boy. He was a blessing.
Comet sat at her side, as he almost always did. She was grateful for him too. Without Comet, she would have been afraid and lonely. He'd grown into a quiet, loyal, and very protective dog. He quietly alerted her to anyone who was close by and never left her side while someone visited. He was just as protective with Jace but also calm and patient. He let the boy crawl around him and play with him, tail gently wagging, nose gently prodding.
She sighed, eyes closing for a moment. She missed her husband terribly. She hoped he'd returned to her by now but it was almost time for Myla to be born and Jared was still missing. She'd reached out to James for help but she hadn't heard back from him. It didn't leave her feeling good. What if something had happened to him? She shook the dark thoughts away, instead focusing on her soon to come bundle of joy. She was excited, despite everything to see her daughter.

I love you for all that you are, all that you have been, and all that you are yet to be.
