Breeze found herself back in district thirteen. For some reason this place felt like her home more than anywhere else. She found herself in the courtyard. She pulled out her sketchbook, and began to draw. She was so into her drawing that the people playing catch behind her didn't even phase her. It had been a long time since she decides to draw.
She had been thinking about Sky a lot lately. Sky just left them and never came back. Breeze would hate Sky if Breeze didn't think she was dead.

A break, she just needed a break away from all the trees and leaves and bickering for just a day. Well, more like a week. Since ditching Four because of the war to live in Seven in safety, Maze had been in a constant state of distress, constantly torn. She'd spilled the beans on accident to Danny about being pregnant while him and Matthew were going at it, and well, that ended the fight quickly. Now her lover and his brother weren't exactly cruel by any means, they just butted heads- especially since the incident with herself and the brunette male. It made things tense, and Danny was always getting jealous and over-protective every time Matt even tried to talk to her.
So she just got up, walked out, and boarded a train.
In all honesty, the only place she ever even considered calling home other than Four was Thirteen. It was her refuge. The safe place, so it wasn't a surprise that this is where she'd gone. At this point, she was faintly showing, but did her best to hide it to avoid pesky questions. Taking a precaution such as dressing herself in an oversized sweater that didn't dare cling to her, she marched into the courtyard, sighing with relief at the familiarity as the memories rushed in. From fighting with Zach to defend Sky's honor to Field proposing in the rain to meeting Danny and feasting on stolen cake- this was the key to her mind, where all her rememberings lay.
It was barren under the grasp of winter, the land frostbitten and dead, all except for a little ball of red hair hunched over, seated on a bench. It couldn't be, no way. The last time Maze had seen Breeze, it was at a small festivity and the girl had traveled down a dark path. Drugs and hatred, she just couldn't bear to see her friend do that to herself, so she'd drawn away after several failed attempts at helping. Not to mention her own problems with Danny and all at the time. She just felt bad for letting their friendship melt away as it had. Maze didn't even know what happened to Sky or Josh, Field was gone, and Airron was in a state of such horrid misery that she could barely talk to him without him bursting into tears. Breeze was the last of her original friends. Their little group was dwindling and she was set on fixing it.
Silent feet dragging her the girl's way, Maze eased herself into the spot beside her, her voice quiet as she captured her friend's attention, "Long time, no see, eh?"

Breeze stopped drawing when she felt someone sitting next to her. She was about to tell the person she wanted to be alone. That was until she noticed it was Maze. "Maze! I haven't seen you in ages," Breeze said with a smile. That was probably her fault but she choose to ignore that. She just looked at her and closed her sketchbook. "so what've you been up to? " Breeze asked.

Okay, this was good. Breeze was actually happy to see her, which washed away any doubts the girl had about this little meeting being terribly awkward. Maze hadn't been in the best state when they stopped talking, and neither had her little redheaded friend. They weren't there for each other, but somehow managed to both make it out alive. So, with a sharp inhale and a courageous gulp, the brunette swallowed down her jitters and let the grin rock over her lips. "It's been too long," her voice was gentle, eager even at the thought of having a piece of home again- it lacked it's well-known bite, the hoarse tones she'd once used to raise trouble erased as she glanced at her stomach. "Oh, you know," she paused, tossing her old pal a cheeky grin as she rested her palm against her slight bump, cooing, "Things. The usual- just making a mess of it all. You? How have you been?"
She didn't know what happened with her, Sky, or even Josh. They all fell apart, and she was clueless as to if the other two were even alive.
